Security Guard

Job Purpose

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the company's premises, controlling the movement of materials and vehicles, monitoring employee attendance, conducting routine patrols, and ensuring compliance with company safety and security procedures. The role also supports stock inward and outward operations by maintaining accurate records and verifying documentation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Stock Inward Control

• Ensure all incoming vehicles are weighed at the weighbridge before entering the plant and after unloading.
• Verify Delivery Orders (DOs) against the delivered materials by counting and checking all items.
• Obtain signatures from the Store In-Charge for store-related materials and from the Quality/Dispatch Department for pipe deliveries before applying the inward stamp.
• Record all inward materials in the Stock Inward Register and obtain daily verification from the Store In-Charge or Plant Manager.
• Distribute copies of the Delivery Order to the Store and Purchase Departments.

2. Stock Outward Control

• Ensure vehicles are weighed before and after loading, and record the respective weights.
• Verify all external trailers with the Sales Department before allowing entry into the plant and notify the Dispatch Department upon confirmation.
• Inspect drivers and external workers to ensure they are wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) before entering the premises.
• Collect the manual Delivery Order from the Dispatch Department after loading and submit it to the Sales Department for invoice preparation.
• Obtain the driver's signature on the Invoice and Delivery Order, apply the outward stamp, and distribute copies to the Driver, Sales Department, and Planning Department.
• Record all dispatched materials in the Stock Outward Register and obtain daily verification from the Plant Manager or Dispatch Department.
• Share photographs of the previous day's inward and outward logbooks with the General Manager after verification by the Plant Manager or Dispatch Department.

3. Security Patrol & Surveillance

• Conduct security patrols throughout the plant every two hours without exception.
• Monitor all operational areas, worker activities, accommodation areas, and restricted zones during patrols.
• Inspect workers to ensure compliance with safety requirements and proper use of PPE.
• Immediately report any safety violations, unauthorized activities, or disciplinary issues to the Plant Managers.

4. Attendance Monitoring

• Record the daily attendance of plant employees and ensure all employees use the biometric attendance system.
• Verify that employees are wearing the required uniform and PPE, including helmets, safety shoes, reflective jackets, and other mandatory safety equipment, before allowing attendance punching.
• Do not record attendance for employees who are not in the prescribed uniform or required PPE.
• Ensure attendance is recorded only in the designated attendance area inside the plant.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce company security policies, safety procedures, and access control requirements.
• Prevent unauthorized entry of persons, vehicles, and materials into the premises.
• Maintain accurate security records, registers, and reports.
• Immediately report accidents, security incidents, suspicious activities, or policy violations to the concerned department.
• Support the HSE and HR Departments in promoting a safe, secure, and disciplined work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Certificate or equivalent.
• Valid Security Guard certification/license (where applicable).
• Basic knowledge of warehouse, dispatch, and security procedures.
• Ability to maintain registers and prepare routine reports.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Security Guard in an industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
• Experience in gate control, material movement, attendance monitoring, and security patrolling is preferred.

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED1,700.00 per month
