Security Guards for Bronx Shelter

Knight Security is seeking qualified and dedicated Security Agents at a Family Migrant Shelter in the Bronx, NY area. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all residents, staff, and property at the shelter. This role involves maintaining a peaceful environment, managing access control, conducting regular patrols, and handling any security-related incidents in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and security of the shelter and its residents.
• Monitor access points and control entry to the facility.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both inside and outside.
• Respond to and handle security incidents, emergencies, and alarms as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports.
• Collaborate with shelter staff to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
• Adhere to all security protocols and procedures set forth by Knight Security and the shelter management.

Qualifications:

• MUST Possess a valid NYS Security License
• MUST Possess a valid Certificate of Fitness for Fireguard for Shelters (F-02)
• MUST Speak fluent English -- Bi-lingual accepted
• MUST be able to stand for long period of time -- Minimum 8 hours
• MUST be dependable and punctual -- Consistent with showing up to shifts 15-20 minutes early.
• Bilingual Preferred
• Schedule flexibility is a +PLUS+
• Previous security experience is preferred, particularly in shelter or residential settings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent observation and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

• F-02 (Certificate of Fitness for Fire Guard for Shelters)
• 40 hour DHS training Certification
• Physically fit and able to conduct regular patrols and respond to emergencies.
