Security Officer

Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, patrolling designated areas, and responding promptly to incidents. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to handle emergency situations with composure. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued. The Security Officer plays a crucial role in loss prevention, surveillance, and maintaining a secure environment for all.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks.
• Respond swiftly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety.
• Document incidents accurately and prepare detailed reports for management review.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and managing visitor check-ins.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary during critical incidents.
• Implement conflict management strategies to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Conduct loss prevention activities by observing suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism.
• Maintain a professional presence at all times to promote a safe environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security.
• PILB guard card.
• Strong surveillance skills, observe and report.
• Excellent conflict management abilities with a calm demeanor under pressure.
• Ability to handle stressful situations responsibly and ethically.
• Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and security protocols.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly when needed.
• Must pass background checks and any required pre-employment screenings.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
