Misericordia is currently hiring for a full-time campus Security Officer to join our Security team.

Campus Security Officers lead by example and work cohesively as one team to accomplish and sustain a shared mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Enforce all Misericordia Home policies and procedures as directed.
• Investigate and document campus incidents and disturbances to ensure the safety of residents, employees, and visitors.
• Attend mandatory quarterly interdepartmental and direct safety meetings.
• Maintain the physical ability to respond quickly to emergencies, including stair climbing and other exertion.
• Remain flexible in duty assignments and rotations.
• Provide escorts for emergency personnel, staff, and visitors to authorized areas as needed.
• Monitor individuals and situations to ensure campus safety.
• Conduct regular patrols and surveillance to maintain visibility and prevent unauthorized campus access.
• Adhere to shift requirements, duties, and responsibilities.
• Respond promptly to all communications via radio or phone.
• Complete all required security training.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrate strong leadership as a campus security officer.
• Follow instructions accurately and promptly.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and make sound decisions in emergency situations.

Requirements:

• Valid Illinois driver’s license
• Valid Illinois perc card
• High school diploma/ GED

Pay:

• ​$24.00 base pay
• Weekday PM Differential - $1.50/Weekend PM Differential - $3.00
