Security Officer – Jewelry Store (Laguna Niguel, CA)

We are seeking a professional and alert Security Officer for a high-value jewelry store located in Laguna Niguel, California. This position requires an active, reliable individual who can maintain a strong security presence, provide excellent customer service, and respond quickly to any suspicious activity. The ideal candidate must be attentive at all times and committed to protecting the store, staff, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a visible and active security presence inside and around the store
• Greet customers and staff in a polite, friendly, and professional manner
• Monitor customer activity and watch for suspicious behavior
• Take quick and appropriate action in case of theft, disturbances, or emergencies
• Control access to the store when needed and ensure a safe shopping environment
• Work closely with store staff and management to support daily operations
• Complete incident reports and follow company procedures

• No phone use while on duty, except for emergency or work-related communication
• Remain standing, alert, and actively observing the environment at all times
• Be professional, respectful, and customer-service oriented
• Be punctual, dependable, and maintain a clean, professional appearance

Requirements:

• Valid California Guard Card
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Professional attitude and reliable work ethic
• Ability to stay alert and respond quickly in a fast-paced retail environment
• Prior retail or jewelry store security experience is preferred

Work Environment:
This is a high-value retail location, so attention to detail, professionalism, and constant awareness are critical to the success of this role.

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
