Security Officer / Special Event Officer

Job description

We are a premier special events security company seeking experienced security guards to work high-end events for luxury brands, private clients, and exclusive venues. Candidates must have prior event security experience, a professional appearance, and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include maintaining a visible and professional presence, checking credentials, controlling access points, monitoring guest flow, and responding quickly and calmly to any issues while coordinating with event staff and clients. Applicants must be reliable, punctual, and able to stay composed in fast-paced environments. Flexible availability is required, including evenings, weekends, and late nights. A valid security license is required where applicable.

Required Qualifications:

• THIS POSITION IS PART TIME -ON CALL AND SCHEDULES ARE PROVIDED AS WORK BECOMES AVAILABLE.
• NEW YORK STATE SECURITY GUARD LICENSE
• FDNY FO4 Fire Guard Certification
• MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS
• Experience in the hospitality, entertainment, corporate industries or, prior or current Law Enforcement, Military, Fire or EMS Services.
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in the English Language
• Professionally groomed appearance
• Excellent conflict management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to verbally deescalate various situations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to work in a Team environment.

Additional Qualifications, but not required:

• CPR / First Aid Training
• Fluency in a second language
• ATSSA Flagger Certification
