Unarmed Security Officer – Military or Prior Law Enforcement Background REQUIRED

Job Description

We are currently seeking professional and experienced Unarmed Security Officers to join our team in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This position requires individuals who can maintain a strong security presence, operate with professionalism, and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.

This role is based in a school environment. The ideal candidate must be able to integrate seamlessly with students, families, and staff while maintaining a high level of professionalism, awareness, and discipline.

• Prior Military or Law Enforcement background – REQUIRED
• Prior Security Experience (VERIFIABLE) – REQUIRED
• Active Florida Class “D” Security License – REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Maintain building security and monitor all access control points
• Manage visitor entry and verify credentials
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure safety and security
• Respond to incidents and emergencies
• Escort individuals on and off-site when required
• Provide off-site security support as needed
• Enforce site rules, policies, and procedures
• Complete detailed incident and activity reports (DARs)
• Maintain a visible, professional presence at all times
• Provide excellent customer service while upholding security standards

Qualifications

• Active Florida Class “D” Security License
• Prior military or law enforcement experience required
• Prior security experience (must be verifiable)
• Experience working in school environments or with children preferred
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Reliable, punctual, and professional

Pay: $22.50 - $25.00 per hour
