Security Operations Analyst

HYBRID OPPORTUNITY - Requires presence in Hunt Valley, MD office

Alliance InfoSystems, LLC, MSP, headquartered in Hunt Valley, MD, is seeking a Security Operations Analyst to join its Engineering team in Hunt Valley. We are looking for an individual with a passion for IT and desire for continuous improvement and learning.

Responsibilities (Summary):

• Responsible for Implementation and operating protections such as Cybersecurity tools, EDR, SIEM.
• Initiates test plans to respond to and recover from security events and trends.
• Provides education to the workforce on security awareness and best practices.
• Provides guidance and recommendations regarding prioritization of investments and projects that mitigates information security risks, strengthen defenses, and reduce vulnerabilities.
• Works with senior level engineer staff to develop security frameworks, policies, and standards. Tasked with maintaining these areas.
• Monitors, investigates, and remediates security events.

Requirements:

Successful candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science or related field, or equivalent
• 2 years of related experience
• Demonstrated technical knowledge in security, networking and data protection
• Strong ability to organize and manage multiple tasks utilizing effective time management skills
• Strong ability to follow through on assigned tasks/projects with minimal supervision
• Works effectively with all levels of internal technology team, end-users and management as well as 3rd party partners and vendors
• Demonstrated ability to flex in various environments and learn new technology quickly
• Exhibited strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Certification requirements: CompTIA A+ Certification, CompTIA Network+ certification, CompTIA Security+ certificatio
• Must obtain CompTIA CySA certification within 3 months of hire date or transfer date into this role
