Security Operations Manager

Position Overview
The Security Operations Manager serves as a critical leadership figure responsible for guiding, optimizing, and ensuring the success of all day-to-day security activities. This role requires an engaged, hands-on leader with strong operational judgment, the ability to adapt quickly, and a commitment to consistently delivering high-quality service. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and driven to maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performing security operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and uphold comprehensive security policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Lead and support security teams, including recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Oversee field operations to ensure alignment with organizational standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and security audits; identify vulnerabilities and execute corrective actions.
• Manage surveillance systems, access control processes, and emergency response protocols to ensure safety and operational continuity.
• Serve as the primary liaison with law enforcement, emergency services, and other external partners.
• Produce clear and accurate incident reports and operational documentation; evaluate performance data to drive improvements.
• Stay current on emerging security technologies, industry trends, and best practices to strengthen operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• At least 5 years of experience in security operations, security management, or a comparable leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of physical security systems, operational procedures, and risk-mitigation strategies.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams in dynamic environments.
• Excellent analytical thinking, sound decision-making, and strong crisis-management abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is a plus.
