As a Manager, Protective Services, you will develop, implement, and/or mature the executive protection function including but not limited to program documentation (policies, standards, procedures), daily in town transportation, trip/event advance preparation, close protection travel support, residential security, protective intelligence, and online privacy risk management. You will lead and manage the security driver program and operations designed to mitigate security risks to the senior executives and any other at-risk personnel, as appropriate.
Responsibilities
● Establish and implement program documentation that codifies and standardizes the protective methodology and service delivery for offices, residences, traveling principals, and events.
● Executive Protection - Executive Protection duties will include leading all aspects of trip planning, execution and logistics as well as coordination with numerous internal and external teams ranging from our executive office staff, Corporate Travel and Private Aviation teams, third-party security firms, and security personnel at other firms and organizations.
● Develop and mature the capabilities to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from security incidents.
● Provide executive protection services including trip planning, advance work, close protection, event coverage and coverage for business trips.
● Corporate Event Executive Protection Coverage - You will be responsible for supporting executive activities related to Corporate Events. This includes maintaining relationships and communications with the Corporate Events, Executive Assistants and Corporate Security teams and reviewing all global events to resolve events that require executive protection coverage. You will work with the security team and, at times, security vendors to ensure that security is provided as needed.
● Evaluate, select, and manage key vendors, including security drivers, protective services, executive concierge medical support, etc, and hold them accountable to established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
● Effectively liaise with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, other relevant public safety organizations as appropriate.
● Support efforts to develop an innovative protective intelligence collection and analysis cycle while exploring new partnerships with data and technology providers.
● The role will also require close coordination with other members of the Global Security team through provision of support for security matters ranging from site security, GSOC, risk intelligence, and investigations.
● Ability to be firearm certified and maintain this certification.
Qualifications required for your success
● Minimum of ten years of experience, including progressively responsible management experience, specifically in law enforcement, national security, homeland security, corporate security, intelligence, and security program/project management.
● Significant familiarity and experience with executive protection, protective operations methodology, threat assessment, law enforcement, and threat trends.
● Exemplary ability to communicate with executives, principals, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
● Effective leadership and management skills.
● Possession of HR 218 (LEOSA) credentials or ability to obtain
● TSA Armed Security Officer (ASO) or ability to obtain
● Experience planning and executing executive protection trips and events, handling emergency situations including security threats, but also including emergencies that involve response to natural and human-made disasters, medical emergencies and trip logistics.
● Able to bring out the best in others. Able to build and manage a distributed team across time zones.
● Ability to prioritize and focus.
● The ability to partner with groups outside Executive Protection and the ability to know when to communicate and advance issues. You will partner with key stakeholders and will develop a strong awareness of the Culture and the ability to resolve measures that are appropriate in that environment. You will also need a successful track record interacting with all levels of management with an emphasis on engaging to the satisfaction of senior partners.
● Strong mentoring, coaching experience with stakeholders that have varying levels of security knowledge and experience.
● Experience building security programs and managing budgets in family offices and/or the private sector.
● Experience advocating for security needs to non-security stakeholders.
● Ability to travel both domestically and internationally to support the executive protection program.
