Responsibilities

• Monitor premises using CCTV systems and other surveillance tools to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
• Control access points by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, ensuring safety for all parties involved
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism and reporting findings accordingly
• Provide first aid or CPR in emergency situations until professional help arrives
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and inspections for accountability and reporting purposes

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and experience with loss prevention strategies
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Familiarity with security protocols and procedures for maintaining safety in various environments
• Ability to perform surveillance duties effectively using modern security technology
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with team members, visitors, and emergency responders
• A valid Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) or Concealed Pistol License (CPL), as required by local and state regulations.
• Strong familiarity with security protocols and the safe handling of licensed firearms.
