Position Title: Security Resource Assistant - Evenings
Supervisor’s Title: Facilities Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Part Time
Job Classification & Pay Range: Facilities & Maintenance (Security), minimum starting rate of $15 per hour, additional depending on experience.
This position will primarily work evenings and every other Saturday.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Patrols and monitors an assigned areas.

Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds.

Contacts dispatch, law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
- Documents incidents that occur and notifies Supervisor/Security Resource Officer.

At closing: checks doors, windows, restrooms, gates and other areas to ensure the property is secure.

Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.

Reasonably, non-physically, detains persons suspected of inappropriate behavior until law enforcement arrives.

Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.

Performs other Facilities/Maintenance duties as assigned.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.

Non-confrontational verbal communication skills required.
- Authoritative verbal communication skills to be performed when needed.

Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.
Education and Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Security guard training certification a plus, but not required.
-
Previous experience a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.
-
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.
-
Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking monitoring events/property.
