Security Supervisor

Rate: $26.00 per hour

Job Summary: Supervises Security Officers in addition to performing duties of the Security Officer such as securing the premises and personnel by patrolling the property; monitors surveillance equipment, inspects buildings, equipment and access points. Prevents losses and damages by observing, detecting and reporting irregularities. Communicates and works closely with Security Managers and all other departments in the coordination of departmental activities and requests.

B. Essential Job Qualifications

1. Education: High School Diploma, Associates degree in Criminal Justice or Computers preferred.

2. Experience: Previous experience in law enforcement, Fireman or Security Supervision in a Health Care Facility preferred.

3. Training/Certification: CPR/First Aid preferred

4. Licensure: DMV Driver’s License required, NY State Security Officer’s License required.

5. Other: Must have demonstrated strong leadership qualities. Ability to relate well to all types of people and act in a positive and supportive manner. Reacts in a flexible manner under unusual circumstances, which may alter normal routines. Demonstrates good judgement and common sense.
