The Security Designer will be part of our national IES Design Branch and will be highly skilled in designing advanced professional CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection solutions, as well as other security systems, in the commercial security integration industry. The role involves providing consulting and design services for technology-enhanced spaces. The designer will actively participate in the design process for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and the delivery of top-quality work to our clients.

The Security Designer must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional, and lead others to create, develop, and implement project process improvement(s).

Must have proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentation(s).
- Must have proven high skill-level to interpret blueprints, and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.

Must able to travel within branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.

Qualifications
-
Minimum of five years of experience in the design and implementation of Security systems; experience with an independent consulting firm is a strong plus

Extensive knowledge in the design of Security systems, including but not limited to: surveillance and CCTV; access control and various credential technology; intrusion detection

Intimate knowledge of Security architectural requirements including but not limited to: sightline studies; structural support requirements; cabling pathways; architectural integration of Security equipment

General knowledge of Information Technology (IT) services and digital media delivery technologies, network hardware, infrastructure and system architecture

Excellent attention to detail and outstanding communication skills, both oral and written

Values that include integrity, accountability, and a willingness to have fun

Works equally well as an individual contributor or team member

Maintains a professional and positive attitude in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment

Ability to assist with business development activities is preferred but required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and BlueBeam
Pluses: Revit experience and additional industry-related certifications.

Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
- Must have at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- RCDD, or other low-voltage design credentials are strongly preferred.
- Low Voltage design industry experience required.
- Must be able to manage multiple scopes
- Must have experience in customer interface, such as liaison between the customer and the Company.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of low-voltage Design experience.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in low voltage contracting or a related technical or construction field.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is strongly preferred.
- Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Must have proven ability to design, and develop a written and graphic representation of the company’s proposed solutions utilizing the software resources provided by the Company.
