Security Systems Senior Technician

Job Details & Purpose

Seeking a skilled On-Site Security Systems Senior Technician for preventive and corrective maintenance of security systems.

- Integral role in ensuring the operational integrity and reliability of on-site security infrastructure.

- Proactively identify and address potential security vulnerabilities to uphold a robust security posture.

- Responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving on-site security system issues promptly.

- Responsible for overseeing technical operations, ensuring the maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment and systems

Key Relationships

- Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment and systems.

- Supervise and guide technicians, providing training and technical support.

- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.

- Collaborate with engineers and management to improve processes and efficiency.

- Collaborate closely with Security Department, IT team, and on-site personnel.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

- Assist in planning and executing technical projects, including installations and upgrades.

- Provide technical reports and updates to management.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Preventive Maintenance:

- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential security system issues.

- Perform scheduled checks to prevent vulnerabilities.

- Calibration and optimization of security equipment for peak performance.

- Implement preventive measures to avoid system downtime.

- Corrective Maintenance:

- Diagnoses and troubleshoot security system malfunctions on-site.

- Execute repairs, replacements, and adjustments promptly.

- Provide on-site technical support for urgent security incidents.

- Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain detailed records of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

- Generate reports on system health, vulnerabilities, and resolutions.

- Provide insights into potential system improvements based on on-site observations

Knowledge and Skills

- Proficient in the preventive and corrective maintenance of security systems.

- In-depth understanding of security system software, firmware, and hardware.

- Hands-on experience with security equipment calibration and optimization.

- Strong troubleshooting skills in diagnosing on-site security system issues.

- Familiarity with the latest advancements in security technologies.

- Ability to analyze and interpret security-related data for decision-making.

- Technical proficiency in using security assessment tools and software

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes

- Education: Diploma or certification in Electronic Security Systems, IT, or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in preventive and corrective maintenance of on-site security systems.
