Seeking Full-Time Preschool Teacher

Curious Explorers Academy is looking for a qualified, joyful, and collaborative preschool teacher to join our teaching team.

This is a full time position.

Hours: 8:45am-5:45pm Monday- Friday
Location: Curious Explorers Academy, Richmond, CA

Program Description:
Curious Explorers Academy promotes an environment where children become independent, confident, lifelong learners with a strong sense of self. We proudly offer a positive, child-centered preschool experience that fosters a love of learning in a nurturing community.
In each child, we strive to cultivate: autonomy, a sense of belonging, respect for others, and an enthusiasm for exploration and learning. We provide a play-rich, developmentally appropriate educational program aimed at fostering an engaged learning community of children, parents, and staff.

We are a mixed age classroom serving children 2+ years old.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Be responsive to children's individual interests and ways of learning and exploring.
Collaborate with lead teacher to plan activities and lessons for the group.
Co-teach a group of students with another teacher and aid.
Lead your own morning group in phonics, math, science and logic.
Supervise children during outdoor play
Effectively communicate with parents via Brightwheel
Be responsible and prompt
This is a closing position, you will eventually be responsible for end of day lock up.
Have a curiosity and a desire for life-long learning

Qualifications:
12 ECE Units (mandatory)
1 to 2 years of experience with preschoolers
Some college
First Aid Training, CPR Training, Early Child Development Coursework

Salary:
$24+ Depending on experience and education.
