Seeking Hvac laborer/apprentice

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated HVAC laborer/apprentice to join our dynamic team! This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical maintenance. As an HVAC laborer/apprentice, you will assist skilled technicians in installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment across various commercial and residential properties. This role is perfect for individuals eager to develop their technical skills and grow within the HVAC industry while contributing to essential property maintenance and service operations.

Duties

• Assist experienced technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ammonia refrigeration equipment.
• Support the setup and operation of schematics and HVAC design plans during project execution.
• Perform routine field service tasks such as troubleshooting mechanical issues using tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment.
• Help with plumbing connections, refrigerant charging, and system testing to ensure optimal performance.
• Participate in property maintenance activities including appliance repair, general equipment repair, and preventative upkeep.
• Follow safety protocols diligently while working with HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems and other mechanical components.
• Learn to read technical diagrams and schematics to assist in diagnosing system faults accurately.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of construction principles or previous service technician experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in HVAC design, plumbing, refrigeration, or appliance repair.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical instructions effectively.
• Willingness to learn about HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, boilers, ammonia refrigeration, and property maintenance procedures.
• Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, welding, and general maintenance tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a <PERSON> driver vehicle is a plus.
• Prior experience or familiarity with field service work or appliance repair is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
