Self-Employed Electrician (Van-Based) – Full Fleet Coverage
We are seeking a reliable, fully qualified, self-employed electrician with their own van to support maintenance and compliance across our property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault finding across multiple properties
- Completing installation works including lighting, sockets, and consumer units
- Conducting electrical testing and inspections, including EICRs, and providing certification
- Responding to emergency call-outs and urgent repairs in a timely manner
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with current regulations and safety standards
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and reporting any additional issues identified on-site
- Liaising with management and tenants/service users in a professional manner
- Supporting planned and reactive maintenance across the full fleet of properties
Requirements:
- Fully qualified and registered electrician (e.g. NICEIC or NAPIT)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
- Proven experience in domestic electrical work and maintenance
- Own fully equipped van and tools
- Valid UK driving licence
- Public liability insurance
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- Experience working within supported housing or similar environments
- Ability to carry out minor multi-trade tasks
Working Arrangement:
- Self-employed / subcontractor basis
- Flexible working, covering a range of properties as required
- Competitive rates (to be agreed)
Pay: £30.00 per hour
