Self Employed Electrician

Self-Employed Electrician (Subcontract) – Immediate Work Available

Ulverston / Barrow / South Cumbria

Local applicants only – must be based within commuting distance of Ulverston / Barrow. Applications from outside the area will not be considered.

We’re looking for a reliable electrician to support ongoing domestic and commercial work, including remedial works, fault finding, and upgrades.

This is subcontract work with consistent workload available immediately. All work is site-based across South Cumbria.

What you’ll be doing:

• Domestic and commercial electrical work
• Fault finding and remedial works
• Working alongside an improver and apprentice when required
• Occasionally running smaller jobs independently

What we’re looking for:

• Fully qualified electrician
• Able to work independently without constant supervision
• Good standard of work and organisation
• Reliable and easy to work with

Additional (preferred but not essential):

• Experience with inspection and testing / EICRs

Pay:

• £25 – £30 per hour depending on experience

Requirements:

• Self-employed
• Own tools
• Own vehicle and able to travel to jobs independently
• Driving licence essential
• Must be based locally and able to travel to jobs daily

Preferred:

• Own testing equipment (not essential)
