Ingredients Online is a fast-growing B2B e-commerce marketplace connecting global buyers and sellers of raw ingredients across dietary supplements, food & beverage, animal nutrition, and personal care industries. We are expanding our supplier network and looking for a results-driven, to support seller acquisition, onboarding, and account growth.
Role Overview:
The Seller Business Development Representative (Seller BD Rep) is a frontline sales role responsible for identifying, engaging, and onboarding new suppliers onto the IngredientsOnline.com marketplace. This position drives top-of-funnel seller acquisition through a combination of outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification, ensuring a consistent pipeline of quality suppliers across key ingredient categories.
Scope of work:
Outbound Prospecting & Lead Engagement
- Execute outbound outreach to targeted seller-potential contacts via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
- Qualify leads against IO seller criteria (product relevance, MOQ, certifications, export capability).
- Conduct discovery calls to understand supplier capabilities and align with IO marketplace requirements.
- Maintain consistent daily/weekly outreach activity targets as defined by the BD Manager.
Inbound Lead Handling
- Respond to and qualify inbound seller inquiries in a timely manner.
- Route high-priority inbound leads for fast-track onboarding consideration.
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Log all prospect interactions, activity notes, and lead status updates in HubSpot CRM.
- Maintain accurate pipeline records and move leads through defined lifecycle stages.
- Flag data quality issues and assist with contact enrichment efforts.
Onboarding Support
- Support the seller onboarding process by coordinating required documentation and initial profile setup.
- Hand off qualified, converted sellers to the Seller Account Management team with full context notes.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Provide daily/weekly activity and pipeline reports to the BD Manager.
- Collaborate with the Lead Development team on campaign targeting and list quality.
- Participate in team calls, trainings, and BD process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required
- 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or lead generation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Comfortable with high-volume outbound outreach (phone and email).
- Proficient in CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-up discipline.
Preferred
- Background in food ingredients, raw materials, nutraceuticals, or B2B e-commerce.
- Familiarity with Apollo.io, Hunter.io, or similar prospecting tools.
- Additional languages relevant to MENA, APAC, or European markets are a plus.
