Duties

• Safely operate semi-trucks with manual transmissions, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles.
• Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Plan and follow optimized routes for timely deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit and ensure compliance with weight limits.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations.
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity with various trailer types such as refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks.
• Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual methods.
• Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent navigation skills for route planning and execution.
• Physical stamina for long hours on the road and handling cargo loading tasks.

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
