Semi Truck Driver - Part Time

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to, operating manual and automatic transmission vehicles. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight while adhering to all transportation regulations and company policies.

Duties

• Operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods.
• Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
• Navigate routes efficiently while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and functionality.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
• Utilize forklifts or other equipment as necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
• Handle various types of trucks including dump trucks and roll-off trucks as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience in truck driving with a focus on delivery driver roles preferred.
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is a must.
• Familiarity with forklift operations is advantageous.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the road.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to tight schedules.
