Senior 5 Axis Turn-Mill Machinist

ATMTA is establishing a High Precision Training, Research, Development, and Production Center for the energy sector. We manufacture mission critical, precision engineered components for the oil and gas industry, built to perform under extreme pressure, temperature, and corrosion where failure is not an option, machined and tested to the highest precision and made intelligent with embedded sensing and AI.

We are hiring a Senior 5 Axis Turn-Mill Machinist, on site in Muscat, to run turn dominant multitasking machining of high value rotational components in production.

What you'll do: Set up, prove out, and run DMG MORI Turn-Mill machines that take rotational parts from bar to finished in one setup.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and run 5 axis Turn-Mill machines in production, primarily DMG MORI (NTX, CTX TC), and equivalents such as Mazak Integrex, Okuma Multus, or WFL Millturn
• Machine rotational oil and gas components, valve stems, mandrels, hangers, bushings, and wellhead spools, complete in one setup
• Machine Inconel, super duplex, 17-4PH, and other exotic alloys to micron tolerance
• Prove out programs, set tooling and offsets, and optimize for cycle time and tool life
• Hold tolerances in microns, verify with precision metrology, and keep full traceability under API Q1 on parts qualified to API 6A and API 6D
• Work to ASME B16.34 and ASTM material requirements such as A182 and A479, with material certs and heat traceability
• Diagnose and solve machining problems at the machine, chatter, finish, tool wear, and thermal effects
• Drive setup reduction and continuous improvement, and mentor apprentice machinists at the machine, building hands on skill toward full qualification

What makes you a fit:

• You are a time served machinist who sets up, proves out, and runs multitasking turn mill machines in production, not just operates them
• DMG MORI expertise is highly preferred; you are expert on DMG MORI turn mill machines (NTX or CTX TC) and at home on equivalents such as Mazak Integrex or Okuma Multus
• You machine difficult alloys to micron tolerance, and you know how they behave
• You program or edit at the machine, prove out, and optimize, and you know the DMG MORI control (CELOS or compatible)
• You work to API and ASME requirements with full ASTM material traceability
• You read drawings and GD&T fluently, and you measure what you make
• You enjoy passing your craft to apprentices on the floor
• You hold a machining apprenticeship or equivalent, with a strong precision track record
• Bonus points for oil and gas, valves, wellheads, or aerospace grade precision
• Fluency in English required
