The Senior Account Manager in the manufacturing sector is responsible for managing and expanding key client
accounts, developing long-term relationships with clients, and overseeing sales growth within their assigned
territories or accounts. This role involves a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, exceptional
customer service skills, and a strategic approach to client management.
Primary Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.

Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters.

Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.

Identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts.

Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.

Conduct regular business reviews with clients to ensure satisfaction and uncover potential growth
opportunities.

Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing assigned accounts.

Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).

Prepare reports on account status.

Develop and implement strategic account plans that drive retention and growth.

Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, marketing, R&D) to ensure timely delivery of
solutions according to customer needs and objectives.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends and opportunities.

Keep abreast of competitive activities within accounts and recommend strategies to counteract.

Address client issues and complaints promptly and effectively.

Liaise between clients and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of
solutions.

Maintain detailed records of client interactions, sales activities, and account strategies.

Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of accounts
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in account management, sales, or a related role within the
manufacturing sector.

Proven ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.

Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
