Senior Account Manager

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

We are recruiting a Senior Account Manager within our Strategic Communications team to lead client consulting, project delivery, and team management. In this role, you’ll ensure Acorn Strategy delivers measurable impact and earns trusted advisor status with every client. You’ll also play a key role in business development by supporting the creation of compelling proposals, decks, and pitches.


We’re seeking someone who is proactive, confident, and composed under pressure. A trusted advisor who brings clarity, strategic thinking, and leadership to every engagement.


Fluency in Arabic and English is essential for this role.


What You Will Do:


This position balances client satisfaction, strategic thinking, and internal capability building to drive meaningful results, all in alignment with Acorn’s values of Agility, Collaboration, Curiosity, Bravery, and Integrity.


Key responsibilities include:


Client Satisfaction & Advisory Excellence

  • Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key clients, delivering exceptional service and strategic counsel that drives long-term partnerships.

Scope & Delivery Management

  • Manage scopes of work, budgets, and timelines to ensure projects and retainers are delivered on time, on brief, and to the highest standard.
  • Oversee day-to-day delivery across multiple accounts with precision and accountability.

Strategic Research & Insights

  • Develop data-driven communication strategies informed by research, insights, and audience understanding.
  • Translate complex challenges into clear, actionable strategies that create measurable impact.

Impact Planning & Measurement

  • Design and oversee impact plans that link communications activity to tangible business or reputational outcomes.
  • Evaluate campaign effectiveness and continuously refine approaches based on learnings.

Team Development & Mentorship

  • Actively coach, support, and develop junior team members to build internal capability and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.

Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to enhance workflows, tools, and delivery processes that improve quality and efficiency.
  • Champion innovation and contribute to the continuous improvement of Acorn’s strategic and creative approach.

Financial Contribution & Efficiency

  • Manage account profitability and support organic growth through proactive client development.
  • Contribute to business development through ideas, proposals, and participation in new business pitches and onboarding.

Industry & Market Knowledge

  • Stay informed of emerging trends, best practices, and market shifts within the communications and PR industry.
  • Apply these insights to strengthen client strategies and position Acorn Strategy as a leader in strategic communications.

Experience:


  • Experience: 5–8 years of experience in strategic communications or public relations, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Expertise: Proven ability to develop and deliver strategic communication plans that achieve measurable results.
  • Client Management: Skilled at overseeing multiple client accounts, ensuring strategic alignment, quality outcomes, and long-term partnerships.
  • Leadership: Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in both English and Arabic with strong presentation and storytelling abilities.
  • Commercial Acumen: Skilled in managing scopes and profitability, with an eye for growth opportunities.
