The Senior Account Manager serves as the primary day-to-day leader for one or more major client accounts, managing relationships, overseeing integrated marketing initiatives, and ensuring seamless execution across campaigns, events, and brand-building opportunities. This role is highly involved in the implementation and management of strategic plans, working closely with senior strategists and agency leadership while focusing more heavily on client service, operational excellence, brand representation, and execution.
The Senior Account Manager plays a critical role in growing client relationships, coordinating cross-functional teams, and representing both the agency and client brands through event management, travel, community engagement, speaking opportunities, and in-market activations. This individual is responsible for ensuring campaigns and brand initiatives are executed effectively while maintaining exceptional client service standards.
Client Service & Account Leadership

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing daily communications and ensuring strong, trusted relationships.

Lead internal account teams to ensure client strategies, campaigns, and deliverables are executed accurately, on time, and within budget.

Oversee integrated marketing budgets, including budget tracking, reporting, and financial accountability for assigned accounts.

Receive client briefings, analyze needs, and communicate actionable insights to internal agency teams.

Present agency recommendations, campaign updates, and project deliverables confidently and professionally.

Maintain positive client relationships through proactive service, strategic support, and conflict resolution.

Identify opportunities for client growth, retention, and expanded service offerings.

Keep agency leadership informed of all major client activities, developments, and challenges.
Event Management, Brand Representation & Community Engagement

Lead planning, coordination, and execution of client and agency events including trade shows, conferences, sponsorship activations, community outreach events, and promotional experiences.

Manage travel logistics and on-site coordination for client events, agency leadership, and team participation.

Represent client brands and the agency at conferences, networking events, community initiatives, and speaking engagements.

Support public-facing opportunities through presentations, event participation, and thought leadership in relevant industries and communities.

Ensure consistent brand representation across in-person events, activations, and external engagements.

Build relationships within local and industry communities to strengthen brand visibility and engagement.

Collaborate with PR, media, social, and creative teams to maximize event and community marketing impact.
Marketing Execution & Strategic Support

Collaborate with strategy, media, creative, and digital teams to support the development and execution of integrated marketing plans.

Contribute strategic insights based on market trends, client objectives, and campaign performance.

Recommend tactical opportunities that support broader client strategies.

Oversee project execution by assigning tasks, managing deliverables, and ensuring campaigns are carried through successfully.

Monitor campaign effectiveness and provide recommendations for optimization.

Support agency new business efforts through participation in proposals, presentations, and client development initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development

Manage and mentor Account Coordinators and Account Managers.

Support professional development by coaching team members and helping build future agency talent.

Foster collaboration across departments to ensure seamless execution and strong internal culture.

Assist in resource allocation, workload management, and team coordination.

Bachelor’s degree required; marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred.

5–8 years of experience in marketing, account management, client service, or agency environments.

Strong experience in integrated marketing campaign management and client leadership.

Event planning, experiential marketing, or conference management experience strongly preferred.

Experience with travel coordination, public speaking, or community-facing brand representation preferred.

Digital certifications and continued professional development are beneficial.

Exceptional client service and relationship management skills.
