Senior Account Manager- Digital Marketing

Position Overview

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for leading strategic client relationships and managing a portfolio of digital marketing accounts, including PPC, paid social, and SEO initiatives. This role combines account leadership with a strong working knowledge of performance marketing, including campaign optimization, reporting, and data-driven insights to drive client success and account growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of client accounts and act as the main point of contact for strategy, performance, and day-to-day needs
  • Work with digital teams to ensure that PPC and paid social campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, etc.) are set up, managed, and optimized to hit performance goals
  • Review campaign data regularly and turn it into clear takeaways clients can understand and act on
  • Run client check-ins and performance updates, explaining what’s working, what’s not, and what’s next
  • Spot opportunities to grow accounts through better performance, new tactics, or additional spend
  • Work closely with web developers, designers, and clients to oversee website projects from kickoff through launch, ensuring deadlines and project goals are met
  • Work closely with internal teams (media, creative, SEO, analytics) to make sure campaigns are executed properly and on time
  • Keep a close eye on budgets, pacing, forecasts, and overall ROI to avoid surprises
  • Troubleshoot underperforming campaigns using data to identify issues and fix them quickly
  • Support pitches, renewals, and new business efforts when needed

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in account management, client services, or digital marketing
  • Hands-on experience running or managing PPC, SEO, and paid social campaigns
  • Comfortable reading performance data (KPIs, reporting dashboards, attribution, etc.) and knowing what to do with it
  • Used to juggling multiple client accounts at once in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong communicator who can explain performance clearly to both clients and internal teams
  • Agency experience is preferred
