Job Title: Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial data, managing payroll and tax compliance, leading audits, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Prior experience in the healthcare or hospital industry is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

· Record, verify, and consolidate financial transactions to ensure data integrity.

· Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.

· Analyse and reconcile general ledger accounts; create schedules and provide necessary documentation for audits.

· Lead internal and external audits; ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

· Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including salary slips and statutory contributions (GST, EPF, ESIC, PT).

· Perform regular financial backups to ensure data security.

· Safeguard sensitive financial information and maintain confidentiality at all times.

· Supervise, train, and manage junior accountants and finance personnel.

Required Skills & Competencies

· Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and financial practices within the healthcare/hospital sector.

· Expertise in taxation and payroll management.

· Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict management skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

Qualifications

· Postgraduate Degree in Commerce (M.Com) or MBA in Finance.

Experience

· 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in the healthcare or hospital industry.
