We are looking for a meticulous and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in accounting and financial auditing, and demonstrate strong analytical skills to manage and oversee day-to-day financial operations effectively. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting standards, taxation, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly payroll reviews and ensure timely disbursements
• Prepare and submit VAT reports to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA)
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Lead the preparation of audit documentation and liaise with external auditors
• Prepare and review Payment Certificates (PCs) for subcontractors
• Oversee the preparation of the Petty Cash Fund (PCF) report
• Review and approve invoices, payments, and receipts
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity in ERPNext
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Process employee expense reimbursements
• Support budget development and financial forecasting
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
• Provide strategic insights and reporting to management
• Mentor and support junior finance staff as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in financial auditing
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and practices
• Hands-on experience with ERPNext and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical thinking
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work independently and lead cross-functional collaboration

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CA is a plus)
• Professional certification in accounting or auditing is an advantage
