Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting management with financial analysis. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge and hands-on experience with Tally ERP for maintaining financial records and executing core accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage and maintain the general ledger in Tally ERP.
- Prepare, review, and reconcile accounts and journal entries.
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Generate accurate financial statements and reports using Tally.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Oversee AP/AR entries and ensure proper documentation in Tally.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables, ensuring timely settlement.
- Resolve discrepancies and reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
Compliance & Audits
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and statutory requirements.
- Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audits.
Financial Analysis
- Analyze financial data and present insights on variance, cash flow, and profitability.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to optimize accounting processes within Tally ERP.
- Support system upgrades, data migration, or configuration changes in Tally.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Guide and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Support the Finance Manager or Controller with ad hoc financial projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Mandatory: Hands-on experience with Tally ERP (Tally ERP 9 or TallyPrime).
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced level preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus (optional depending on region).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
