Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, handling reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.
This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update accounting records including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Record and reconcile bank statements, cash transactions, and intercompany accounts
- Manage vendor payments, customer invoicing, and aging reports
- Handle tax matters, including sales tax, withholding tax, and income tax filings
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with local laws, accounting standards, and company policies
- Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
- Support management with financial analysis and reporting as required
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience (preferred)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and financial spreadsheets
- Familiarity with Pakistan tax laws (sales tax & withholding tax preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Good communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- CA (Inter), ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Experience in trading, manufacturing, or distribution companies
- Prior experience handling audits
