Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our showroom and service center. You will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, ensuring tax compliance (GST/TDS), and providing financial insights that help optimize our sales and after-sales service departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, including Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and verify daily cash/online collections from sales and service counters.

2. Inventory & Spare Parts Accounting

• Perform regular physical stock verification of vehicles and spare parts.
• Manage "Goods in Transit" and coordinate with the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for billing and incentives.
• Monitor "Dead Stock" in the service department and report on aging inventory.

3. Statutory Compliance

• Ensure timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, 9) and reconciliation with GSTR-2A/2B.
• Manage TDS/TCS payments and return filings.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors for year-end audits.

4. Operations & Payroll

• Process monthly payroll, including commissions/incentives for sales and service staff.
• Handle RTO (Regional Transport Office) payment reconciliations and insurance payouts.
• Manage vendor payments for workshop utilities, lubricants, and local procurement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CA Inter or M.Com preferred).
• Experience: 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the Automobile or Retail industry.
• Technical Skills: * Proficiency in TallyPrime or dealership-specific ERP software.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Deep understanding of GST and direct tax laws.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, integrity, and the ability to manage a team of junior accountants/cashiers.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with DMS (Dealer Management System) software.
• Familiarity with the financing/loan processes (coordinating with banks/NBFCs for vehicle hypothecation).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
