Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. They will be responsible for supervising and supporting the accounts department in various tasks, including but not limited to taxation compliance, payroll, disbursement of payments, data entry and book-keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, Mentor, Support.
- Supervise and Manage daily accounting and book-keeping.
- Ensuring Taxation Compliance.
- Payroll.
- Timely Disbursement of Payments.
- Audit and Assessment.
- Reporting, Coordination and Liaison – Parties / Management / CA / Banks / Statutory Bodies.
- Oversee, Review and Analyse the Preparation and Accuracy of Documentation.
- Strategic Planning.
Qualification:
- Master’s Degree holders preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the shipping industry.
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles, Taxation Laws (TDS / GST), Banking Procedures and Statutory Requirements (SPF / EPF / ESIC / PT).
- Excellent Leadership, Organizational and Decision-Making skills – Person with integrity preferred.
- Must be Technologically Proficient – Esp. with Accounting Software (Tally) and Government/Bank Websites / MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent Communication (English) and Interpersonal Skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
