Senior Accountant – Banking & Finance (LC Payments)

Job Description:

* Manage and oversee Letter of Credit (LC) transactions, including opening, amendment, negotiation, and closure.

* Coordinate with banks, suppliers, and internal teams for timely processing of LC payments.

* Ensure compliance with banking regulations, UCP 600, and company policies related to trade finance.

* Prepare and verify LC documentation, invoices, shipping documents, and bank charges.

* Monitor LC limits, maturity dates, and payment schedules to avoid delays or penalties.

* Reconcile bank statements, LC accounts, and trade finance entries in books of accounts.

* Handle import/export finance accounting, including usance and sight LCs.

* Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing related to banking and LC transactions.

* Liaise with auditors and banks for LC confirmations and financial audits.

* Maintain accurate records and MIS reports for LC exposure, utilization, and outstanding payments.
