Senior Accountant
- Prepares and records assets, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts, providing information for auditors.
- Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
- Secures financial information by completing database backups.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the software/SaaS industry.
Strong working knowledge of Zoho Books and other Zoho Finance modules .
Experience with subscription billing, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and deferred revenue management.
Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
High proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
