Senior Accountant

The General Ledger Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the organization’s financial records. This role performs advanced accounting functions, supports the monthly close process, prepares financial analyses, ensures compliance with accounting standards, and assists with process improvements. The Senior Accountant also partners with cross-functional teams to provide support on financial matters and contributes to internal and external audit activities.

Your Impact:

  • Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring all journal entries and reconciliations are completed accurately and on schedule.
    • Prepare, analyze, and maintain general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other balance sheet schedules.
    • Review and reconcile complex financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data, escalating issues as needed.
    • Prepare internal financial reports and support management with variance analyses.
    • Assist in developing and enhancing accounting procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.
    • Support external and internal audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
    • Collaborate with other departments—such as Accounts Payable, Payroll, and FP&A—to ensure proper accounting treatment and information flow.
    • Maintain documentation for accounting processes, systems, and controls.
    • Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process automation initiatives.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • U nderstanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required .
  • 4 years’ experience in accounting required , including all facets of accounting.
  • Experience with the management of high-volume accounting strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with NetSuite accounting software preferred.
