Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Saudi Arabia
Position Objective
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our Finance Department.
The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with statutory regulations, and supporting effective financial management to safeguard the organization’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting
- Record daily financial transactions including AP, AR, journal entries, and general ledger updates.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and applicable accounting standards.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts regularly.
- Perform periodic inventory counts and oversee inventory records.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
Reporting & Analysis
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate management reports on expenses, revenues, and budgets.
- Analyze budget variances and provide actionable recommendations.
Audit & Compliance
- Support coordination of internal and external audits.
- Assist in risk assessment and response activities.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, Zakat, and other regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Oversee invoice processing, payments, and payroll entries.
- Manage petty cash and employee reimbursements.
- Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances.
Financial Analysis
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning.
- Provide insights on cost control and operational efficiency.
Team Collaboration
- Supervise accounting staff when required.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy.
- Coordinate with IT on automation and finance-related system improvements.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent certification (Preferred).
- 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills (Arabic & English preferred).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proactive and organized approach to financial responsibilities.
