Senior Accountant

Oversees daily accounting operations, reconciles complex accounts, manages month-end closing, and ensures compliance with financial regulations (GAAP/IFRS). They analyze financial data, prepare reports for management, and often supervise junior staff. Key duties include tax preparation, audit support, and improving internal financial controls. • Financial Reporting & Closing: Reconcile accounts, manage the general ledger, and execute month-end/year-end closing procedures.
• Analysis & Budgeting: Analyze financial information to summarize status, prepare budgets, and forecast financial trends.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with regulations, prepare tax returns, and act as the liaison for internal/external audits.
• Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior accountants or bookkeepers.
• Process Improvement: Review and recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures to enhance efficiency.
• ERP Implementation and data Migration: Microsoft 365 Business Central

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or Master's degree is highly preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience (usually 3-5+ years) as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, or similar role in food distribution companies and startups
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas) and familiarity with ERP software (e.g., 365 Business Central , Navision).
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for reporting to management and stakeholders. Workable +5

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
