Senior Accountant – Responsibilities & Requirements

Handle complete accounting function including GL, AP, AR, and ensure books are accurate and updated; requires 5–8 years experience in contracting/construction and strong knowledge of accounting standards

Monitor billing, receivables, and collections on regular basis and follow up with teams to improve cash inflow; must have strong control on receivables ageing

Manage subcontractor and supplier accounts, including certification, invoice booking, and payment processing with proper documentation

Review project costing (CTC), check budget vs actual cost, and analyze project profitability; should have strong knowledge of project accounting

Ensure correct revenue recognition as per project progress and accounting standards

Prepare and review monthly MIS reports, WIP reports, and variance analysis using Excel / Power BI

Monitor cashflow, working capital, and fund requirements; plan payments and collections properly

Ensure VAT and Corporate Tax compliance including return filing, reconciliation, and audit support; requires knowledge of UAE tax laws

Handle month-end closing, journal entries, provisions, and all balance sheet reconciliations
