Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will oversee financial operations, ensure accuracy in reporting, and support strategic financial decision-making. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance, improving financial processes, and mentoring junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS)
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management
• Support internal and external audits and ensure proper documentation
• Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships
• Improve and streamline accounting processes and internal controls
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles (at least 2 years in a similar senior role preferred)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS standards
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA
• Experience working in Qatar or the GCC region
• Knowledge of local tax and financial regulations
