Senior Accountant – Publicly Traded Healthcare Company

📍 Corporate Headquarters: Louisville, KY (Hybrid/On-site)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join a leading publicly traded healthcare organization headquartered in Louisville. This is an opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven company that is focused on delivering high-quality care and improving patient outcomes at scale.

In this role, you will play a key part in the month-end close process, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls within a complex, fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Support external audits and internal audit requests
• Assist with SOX controls documentation and testing
• Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations to leadership
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and revenue cycle teams
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred)
• 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting experience or publicly traded company experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus, but not required
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday)
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
