Job Title: Senior Accountant

Department: Finance & Accounts
Reporting To: Senior Financial Controller
Location: Dubai

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general accounting functions across all company branches. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance, cash flow management, and coordination between multiple locations.

Candidate should mandatorily have experience working in manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts Payable (AP)

· Oversee the expense management tool and ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of employee expenses.

  • Perform three-way matching of Accounts Payablebefore processing bank payments.
  • Manage vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Monitor aging of payables and optimize payment cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and approval matrix.

2. Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Monitor customer invoicing and collections across all branches
  • Track receivables aging and follow up on overdue payments

· Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes.

  • Manage credit control and customer account reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition

3. General Accounting & Financial Reporting

· Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, petty cash and general ledger activities.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Perform bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations

· Maintain and control Fixed Assets register, WIP capitalization, depreciation, and periodic physical verification.

  • Ensure proper cost allocation for manufacturing operations.

4. Multi-Branch Accounting Management

  • Consolidate financial data from all branches
  • Ensure standard accounting practices across locations
  • Monitor branch-level financial performance
  • Coordinate with branch accountants for reporting and compliance

5. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with local laws, VAT/CT regulations, and accounting standards i.e. IFRS/IAS.
  • Prepare for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails.
  • Support tax filings and regulatory reporting.

6. Cash Flow & Budgeting

  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity across branches.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Control expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

7. Process Improvement & Controls

  • Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Support ERP/system enhancements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Accounting / Finance/commerce.
  • 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing accounting.
  • Experience in handling multi-branch operations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and VAT.

· Familiarity with ERP systems (Divalto, GPAO, or similar) is an advantage.

  • Advanced Excel skills(Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP etc.).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving ability and communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy.

· Good Team player with a proactive approach.

· Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Working Conditions

  • Based at Head Office with coordination across branches.

· Must hold a valid UAE Driving License, as will commute to Abu Dhabi 2–3 times per week to handle cash sales collections and coordinate financial matters, also shall report duty at the plant as part of his job.
