Senior Accountant

Designation: Senior Accountant
Pay: 120,000.00 (PKR) – 150,000.00 (PKR) per month
Location: Room 109, 1st Floor, Uni Tower, I.I. Chundrigarh Rd, Karachi, Pakistan
Job Type: Full-Time
Timing: 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM (Monday to Friday)

We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Accountant with strong experience in bank reconciliations, QuickBooks, Pakistan’s tax regulations, and US-based bookkeeping practices. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring proper account reconciliation, complying with local tax laws, assisting in financial reporting, and handling bookkeeping tasks aligned with US standards.

This position requires strong analytical thinking, precision, and the ability to handle multiple accounting tasks while maintaining accuracy and compliance with standard practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting & Financial Management
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
  • Record daily financial activities and manage the general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure transaction accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and internal records.
  • Maintain reconciliation reports with proper supporting documents.
  • QuickBooks Handling
  • Manage financial data using QuickBooks.
  • Record invoices, expenses, and payments accurately.
  • Generate reports and ensure proper bookkeeping within the system.
  • Tax Compliance (Pakistan)
  • Prepare and file sales tax and income tax returns in line with local laws.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Board of Revenue regulations.
  • Assist in tax return preparation and respond to tax-related queries.
  • US-Based Bookkeeping
  • Handle bookkeeping tasks aligned with US accounting standards.
  • Manage reconciliations, reporting, and compliance for US-based clients.
  • Ensure accuracy in cross-border financial documentation.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (e.g., B.Com, ACCA, CA-Inter preferred).
  • Experience: 2–4 years of accounting experience within Pakistan, plus exposure to US-based bookkeeping.

Technical Skills

  • Strong command of QuickBooks.
  • Expertise in bank reconciliation and financial recordkeeping.
  • Knowledge of Pakistan taxation (sales tax and income tax).
  • Familiarity with US bookkeeping practices.

Additional Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience handling multiple bank accounts and reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and audit processes.
  • Experience working with international or service-based organizations.
