The Senior Accountant plays a vital leadership role within RSI’s finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position is responsible for implementing accounting policies and reporting procedures across the organization. The role maintains the monthly close process, general ledger, and cash management.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP standards
• Deliver meaningful analysis of financial results, trends, and reports to support business decision-making
• Process accounts payable invoices and manage accounts receivable, including cash receipts
• Perform and oversee regular account reconciliations and post manual journal entries to the general ledger
• Stay current on accounting standards and ensure organizational compliance with updated policies and procedures
• Lead the monthly close process efficiently while driving continuous improvements
• Enhance accounting infrastructure through internal controls and conducting comprehensive balance sheet reviews
• Partner cross-functionally with departments such as order management, inventory, asset services, and business development
• Support leasing partner audits and respond promptly to audit requirements
• Coordinate annual audits and reviews with external auditors
• Establish, document, and monitor internal controls
• Prepare and file property tax and sales/use tax returns
• Process bi-weekly payroll and manage new hire documentation
• Contribute to company success through additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Strong general ledger experience
• Highly accurate with fast data entry skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Sage (preferred but not required)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership
