Senior Accountant

Lead and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management on financial performance.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations; coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals.
Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to strengthen financial governance.
Mentor and guide junior accountants and accounting staff, fostering professional development and team efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
Support special projects such as system implementations, audits, and regulatory reporting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification highly preferred.
3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and tax reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Experience with financial reporting systems and ERP platforms is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
