Position Overview

King Slide is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and maintaining compliance with both local and US tax regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage US tax-related matters, coordinating with external advisors as needed to ensure compliance
  • Compile monthly reporting packages, quarterly financial statements, and regulatory filings, including EDGAR submissions, adhering to relevant standards and deadlines
  • Accurately record and maintain daily transactional accounting entries in accordance with established accounting standards
  • Manage the full cycle of the expense payment process, including thorough review of supporting documentation, journal entries, and banking transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, encompassing account reconciliations, accruals, depreciation, amortization, and other necessary adjustments
  • Develop, coordinate, and monitor the annual budgeting process, providing ongoing performance tracking and variance analysis
  • Conduct detailed reviews and verifications of invoices, credit memos, and other financial documents to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Liaise effectively with internal departments, vendors, and clients to resolve discrepancies, disputes, and payment issues in a timely manner
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and secure necessary approvals for payment processing
  • Ensure timely settlement of payments while maintaining accurate reconciliation between vendor statements and internal accounting records
  • Prepare and execute the necessary documentation and reconciliations for local tax filings, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
  • Execute ad hoc finance, accounting, accounts payable, tax, internal control, and audit-related assignments as directed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a corporate environment
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and tax filing processes
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and best practices for financial reporting, including 10-Q and 10-K disclosures
  • Experience with US tax regulations and EDGAR filings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus
  • Familiarity with internal control and audit procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Previous experience working with vendors and resolving payment discrepancies.
