Senior Accountant | Group Finance

We are a growing retail and distribution group with operations across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of finance across our multi-entity structure.

This is a hands-on role. You will manage the full accounting cycle, own intercompany reconciliations, and maintain tight financial controls across regional entities. A background in retail or distribution is required — we need someone who understands cost of goods, inventory valuation, margin analysis, and the financial complexity of multi-location operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage end-to-end accounting for multiple group entities — GL, AP, AR, inventory, and bank reconciliations

- Handle intercompany accounting, eliminations, and reconciliations across UAE, KSA, and Qatar

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports

- Own cost accounting across the group — COGS, stock variances, landed costs, and margin analysis by entity and product line

- Process and reconcile all accounting entries through ERP systems accurately and on time

- Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, UAE Corporate Tax, and applicable GCC regulations

- Support internal and external audits, statutory filings, and regulatory submissions

- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning across entities

- Coordinate with auditors, banks, tax consultants, and external stakeholders

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- 5–7 years of accounting experience, including senior-level responsibilities

- Background in retail or distribution is mandatory — candidates without this will not be considered

- Hands-on costing experience is required — COGS, inventory valuation, stock variances, and margin reporting

- Proven multi-entity or group accounting experience

- Strong hands-on ERP experience is essential — experience with ERPNext is a significant advantage and will be prioritised during shortlisting

- Solid knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and UAE Corporate Tax

- UAE accounting experience is mandatory; KSA and Qatar exposure is a plus

- Organised, deadline-driven, analytically sharp, and able to handle confidential financial information with full discretion
