Senior Accountant
A leading organization engaged in the Chemical and Industrial Water Treatment (IWT) business is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its Finance Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, inventory controls, compliance, reporting, and supporting business decision-making through accurate financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inventory valuation and coordinate physical stock verification activities.
- Prepare internal management and performance reports.
- Analyze and assess the financial position of the company and provide recommendations.
- Manage customer onboarding processes, including financial documentation and credit assessments.
- Maintain and reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts.
- Process journal entries and perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Enter and monitor production orders against batches released by the Production Department.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate statutory audit activities and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
- Manage banking relationships and facilitate banking transactions.
- Process fund transfers, vendor payments, and other financial disbursements.
- Prepare and monitor monthly cash flow forecasts and liquidity plans.
- Ensure compliance with Income Tax, Withholding Tax, Sales Tax/VAT, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support and monitor supply chain-related financial functions.
- Maintain fixed asset records, capitalization, depreciation schedules, and asset verification.
- Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in finance and accounts, preferably in a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial business environment.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, taxation, inventory management, and ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
