Job Overview:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial statements are accurate, timely, and comply with regulatory standards. This position involves preparing financial reports, conducting reconciliations, supporting audits, and ensuring internal controls are in place. The Senior Accountant will also contribute to the development of accounting policies and procedures and assist in the budgeting and forecasting process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank statements, and other financial transactions.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in financial records.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and variances, providing recommendations to senior management for corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to internal accounting procedures and controls to minimize errors and fraud.
- Conduct regular reviews of financial systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring that all documentation is provided as required.
- Assist with tax compliance, including preparation of tax returns and supporting schedules.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants and accounting staff.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, HR, Procurement) to gather relevant financial data for reporting and analysis.
- Recommend improvements to accounting systems, processes, and policies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date with accounting technology and industry best practices to drive innovation.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
