The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring statutory compliance. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, audits, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and record daily accounting transactions, journal entries, and ledgers.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow).
- Handle GST, TDS, and Income Tax filings and ensure statutory compliance.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements (BRS) and vendor/supplier reconciliations.
- Manage payroll accounting and verify employee reimbursements.
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors during audits and provide necessary documents.
- Monitor expenses, control costs, and support budgeting activities.
- Prepare MIS and financial reports for management review.
- Work efficiently on accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and standards (GAAP/Ind AS).
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other tax compliances.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
